Visual Art: Digital Artist; Visual Art: Photographer
I am a visual & photographic artist. I dream. I imagine. I follow Passion. I like things to be Epic. I want to be immortal. I am mainly a conceptual artist that has an interest in constructions of meaning and visual messages that consider symbology as a means to create a deeper, richer narrative. As an Artist: I am interested in Photography and Video, Fine Art, Art Direction, Art Consulting, Art Brokering, Gallery & Exhibitions, Constructing Visual Messages, Concept Development, Documentary Work & Creation, Theatrical & Radio Performance
Brief Artist Statement: I see art as an additional way to communicate that has the potential to reach and touch people on a very intimate level so that they can internalize the message in order to achieve the ability to realize what I am saying within themselves . As an artist, I focus most of my creative talents in photographic and video art. However, I am constantly exploring and pushing my creative abilities through different genre of creating art including performance and sculpture. I see myself and my art as constantly evolving and I like to take a multi-disciplinary approach that focuses on the creative process maybe even more so than the result itself. Therefore, the process takes a strong position in what I do.
Brief Bio: Instead of being cliche and listing things about me, I will tell you who I am in these terms. If you want to know who I am you have to stand on top of the highest mountain and look over the edge all around because there I will be. That is who I am. If you want to know who I am you have to come to appreciate gradients of extreme. If you want to know who I am then you will have to see through the eyes of an epic. If you want to know who I am then you will have to follow passion. If you want to know who I am then just know that I AM WHO I AM. When asked how I compare my limitations with others, I show people two pictures. The first picture is an image of a sky, and I say this is your limit. The second picture is of the universe, and I say this is my limit. Further, I tell people in jest that I am tone deaf so I cannot march to the beat of my own drum let alone anyone else’s drum. I did not like Kool Aide as a kid so do not expect that I will drink it now. I still do not like Kool Aide. Lastly, I think everyone should be willing to abandon everything they have come to know and believe for absolute truth. If you focused on the absolute part, you are already too lost. If you asked your self when hearing that what is it that I believe, then you are ready for a journey of enlightenment. Finding truth is not necessary just would make a nice benefit.
In summary my philosophy in life can be stated as such: Being made in the image of God, each and every person is divine in his or her own right; therefore, each person should follow his or her passions, turn dreams into reality, become master of his or her own destiny, be free and totally in control of his or her own determination, and in so doing all this, live life epicly leaving no stone unturned, no path unexplored, and no distance uncovered.
