Leonid Yanovskiy is professor of violin and viola and director of strings and orchestra at the University of West Florida, Pensacola. Yanovskiy is also the concertmaster with the Pensacola Symphony and Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestras, as well as a part-time concertmaster with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. In 2000 he launched the string program at the University of West Florida. His violin and chamber music students are winners of the national and state music competitions. His students successfully enter prestigious graduate programs and receive full scholarships and assistantships at such prominent institutions as the Juilliard School, Florida State University, University of Maryland, University of North Texas, the Encore International Summer School and Meadowmount School of Music.
