New American Theater

New American Theater is the Tampa Bay area’s premier professional musical theater, offering the very best in live theater. From fresh looks at classic musicals, to lively and powerful thought-provoking new works, NAT has something for everyone.

Founded in 2009, NAT performs their Cabaret Series and Mainstage Productions at the NAT BayWalk Center.

We draw upon the talents of actors, directors and designers from the Tampa Bay area and around the country who are shaping the American theater scene. NAT also offers a wide variety of educational, community and literary programs designed to

• Enrich and deepen the theater-going experience for our audience.
• Provide access and affordable theater to the Greater Tampa Bay Area, including thousands of area students.
• Nurture the audience and artists of the next generation.
• From our mainstage productions to the classroom and beyond, NAT is an active member of the community.
