Don Silvestri

My appreciation for art was inspired by the paintings in museums that i visited during my travels in Europe  I received the impetus to turn my love of painting into a sole pursuit, while studying with Fran Arcuri. Frank is a renowned Bucks County artist who taught the dramatic “Chiaroscuro” effect seen in many century old European paintings.

“My paintings are inspired by nature as I explore light, textures, shapes and relationships”.

I was born in Paterson New Jersey and received a marketing degree from SETON HALL UNIVERSITY. After my tour in the Army, and a memorable career in retail and the financial sector, I retired to Florida with my wife Cynthia, where I am pursuing my desire to capture nature’s beauty with oils and canvas.

I have a studio in the ARTSXCHANGE located in the WAREHOUSE ARTS DISTRICT in St Petersburg. I am represented by the WOODFIELD FINE ART GALLERY in St Petersburg and have exhibited my art in many juried art venues in Florida and Pennsylvania where my paintings have received numerous awards.
