Elizabeth Fontaine-Barr

Elizabeth is considered a modern, expressionistic landscape artist. Her paintings are unified by her rich color palette. Her landscapes are real but not quite recognizable as a particular place and sometime edge on the surreal or fantasy. Working in mostly in acrylic and occasionally pastel, she is inspired by the nature around her in her Florida environment and the family travels. Her recent works, combining her love of color and the mystery of nature, have been exhibited in solo shows and national juried exhibits. Elizabeth’s paintings are also in private collections in Texas, New York, North Carolina, California, Louisiana and Florida.
