6X6 Reading Series
Please note, this event has expired.
The University of South Florida Creative Writing Program is pleased to announce the spring 2016 installment of its 6X6 Reading Series. This event is sponsored by the USF Creative Writing Program and will take place on Friday, March 25th at 7:00 at Felicitous Coffee and Tea House. This event is free and open to the public.
“The night is full of surprises—creatures, hauntings, dreams. This year’s 6×6 reading, Up All Night, hosts writers sharing work inspired by, written during, or imagined at night,” says 6X6 Co-coordinator and first year MFA fiction candidate Allyson Hoffman.
Tampa’s local writing community will gather for a night of readings. Six undergraduate and six graduate students from USF will each present up to six minutes of creative writing including fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction related to the Up All Night theme.
“We are thrilled by the work writers are sharing this spring and are honored to showcase the remarkable talent of USF creative writing students,” says Hoffman.
MFA Graduate student readers include: Carmella Guiol, Georgia Jackson, Colleen Kolba, Annalise Mabe, Jubalee Penuliar, and Alysia Sawchyn. Their work appears or is forthcoming in The Normal School, The Rumpus, Hobart, Midwestern Gothic, the Indiana Review, Word Riot, and Brevity. Undergraduate student readers include: Chris Johnson, Jerico Lenk, Lizz Maderas, V. Navarro, Brooke Ward, and John Williams.
