American Stage is thrilled that our season opener, “Letters to Kamala,” will have special replay performances Jan. 17-23, 2021. This American Stage commissioned work by Rachel Lynett is about legacy, about perspectives and about being a woman of color in America, 120 years ago and today. Three pioneering women of color in politics – Charlotta Bass, Charlene Mitchell and Patsy Mink – deliver wisdom, perspective and wry humor as they address Kamala Harris, and the cultural significance and psychological weight of her Vice-Presidential nomination.
