The Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center will host a free art reception on February 12 celebrating the artists and work of the exhibit “Black Matters: Past, Present, & Future.” The exhibition will be available to view through February.
The Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center will host a free art reception on February 12 celebrating the artists and work of the exhibit “Black Matters: Past, Present, & Future.” This art exhibit celebrates the peaks and valleys of black lives in the past, the present and the possibilities of the future. Art that explores the struggle, tears, laughter, frustration and hope. Art that depicts the unwavering faith, power and character, the endurance and fearlessness experienced generation upon generation. The show will be available to view through February.
Other available exhibits include “The Two of Us” by Gwendolynn Aqui-Brooks and Benard Brooks, “Art Has No Boundaries” by head stick artist Ray Peloquin, “Microorganisms: A Visual Study” by Deonne Seevers, and “Mouth Artist Overcomes Obstacles” by Sara May.
