Join us for Your Guide to Public Art, a public art speaker event, which is free and open to the public. This series will feature conversations with those who are involved in the production of Public Art produced by or in partnership with the City of Tampa.
The first PASS event will take place on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the beautiful new Tampa River Center at Julian B. Lane Park!
5:30 – 6:00 Reception
6:00 – 7:30 Program
Featured artists during this inaugural event created artworks for Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park: Florida author Jeff Klinkenberg will share his experience writing the essay, “Ghosts,” which explores the folklore of the neighborhood that preexisted the present day location of the park; and local artist team Pep Rally, Inc. (Jay Giroux, Josh Pearson, Greg Bryon) and Edgar Sanchez Cumbas will talk about the process of their historically rich mixed media artwork at the River Center and how it relates to the site.
Cash bar and light bites will be provided. PASS is made possible by the Public Art Alliance, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and the City of Tampa.
This event is free and open to the public, but we ask that you register through Eventbrite to reserve your spot. Tickets are limited and only available until August 17, 2018.
