The St. Petersburg Branch for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) presents ‘The First African American Community of Freedom in North America’ a seminar at the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum.
The presentation will consist of a video presentation, panel discussion, and a curriculum update on Fort Mose. Featured guests include historian and community activist James Oliver and President of Pinellas County African American Museum Randy Lightfoot.
