R. Lynn Whitelaw, retired Curator and founding Director of the Leepa Ratner Museum, takes you into the fascinating world of these renowned father-and-son landscape artists. George Inness was one of the most influential artists of the 19th century, often thought of as America’s most significant landscape painter. Inness Jr. became a prolific artist in his own right, and after his father’s death, settled a winter residence here in Tarpon Springs. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Tarpon Springs is a repository for his works, including eight large scale paintings created specifically for the church between 1918 and 1924. Come enjoy a light catered meal and devour knowledge on your lunch break.
All tickets include catered lunch.
