Glass Workshop and Open House

“Make Your Own” glass experience is a personalized workshop teaching individuals how to make Glass Art.

“Make Your Own – Personal Glass Experience” is designed with the novice in mind and follows CDC Guidelines.  This unique one-on-one opportunity in our Hot Shop gives you the chance to work with a professional instructor to learn the fundamentals of glass blowing. Choose your personalized experience from a variety of SOLID GLASS sculptures, with no blowing required; paperweights, hearts, skulls, flowers, fish, snowmen. Or Try GLASS BLOWING with our new AID – Alternative Inflation Device which allows inflation of the bubble without using breath: ornaments, garden globes, tumblers, beer mugs, bowls and more

UPDATES TO THE STUDIO —

+All workshop areas will observe social distancing by maintaining a 6 foot distance from workshop area and visitor viewing area.

+Everyone must have a temperature scan when entering the premises.

+Visitor viewing areas will also adhere to social distancing standards by maintaining a 6 foot distance between individual guests.

+Disinfectant will be provided in studio restroom and at workshop bench area.  Workshop participants will be required to disinfect themselves prior to beginning workshop.  Communal handtools, pipes and punties will be disinfected between each workshop session by the instructor.

+With the use of an “Alternative Inflation Device” (AID); a device developed by Corning Museum of Glass, will allow us to teach glassblowing to individuals without actually using human air to inflate the glass.
