Tampa, FL: Hidden Springs Ale Works and Funky As A Monkey Art Studio presents a fresh exhibit for the new year, ART FLASHPOINT: 2019, January 5-March 15, 2019. The opening reception is Saturday, January 5, 2019, 6pm. The exhibiting artists are a mix new emerging artists and artists who are returning to Hidden Springs. Brenda Bohannon is a multi-media artist and interior designer. Brenda utilizes various art forms and ideas to produce her unique work. Brenda began her career in 2009 and has more than 15 years of experience in the art industry. Caroline Bergen, originally from Warsaw, Poland where she received a degree in Graphic Design with honors is also a painter and illustrator. She states, “Art is my passion and I spend any available time painting, drawing or working on new ideas for projects” Caroline currently lives in the Tampa Bay area with her husband. Bea Dreier, artist and poet, is exhibiting her colorful and captivating abstract expressionist paintings in acrylic. Judith Henry is a writer who recently exchanged her pen for a paintbrush, with her lovely fluid and colorful paintings. Of her art Judith states, “making art and creating a sense of connection with the viewer are my way of embracing joy.” Emily McNeil is a well-known award winning artist in the Tampa Bay area. With Emily’s exhibit we are celebrating her marriage on January 13, 2019 to Steven Kouris. As part of Emily’s wedding reception we are thrilled to be exhibiting her spectacular wildlife portraits. Emily’s images are captured as she kayaks through our Tampa Bay waterways which she then transforms into beautiful paintings. Chrisje Mays is a Florida native who has traveled extensively to chronicle her adventures in photographs. Chrisje’s stunning photographs reflect her love of nature. Since her earliest photographs Chrisje ably photographs her travels through the many varying angles and perspectives of her camera lens. Samson’s latest three pieces capture the unique flavor of Tampa with respect to the culture, nature, and the people. Samson paints in detailed images in oil and watercolor. “My work is an examination about our human relationship with nature, ourselves and the natural world.” Nathan Sherman is a local artist returning to Hidden Springs as he has grown in popularity through word of mouth. He works in acrylic but also dabbles in mixed media. He is well known for his recreations of famous icons and characters.All art shown is available for sale.
