In 1990 Kevin Kenner was recognized throughout the world following his triumphs at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw (top prize), the Terrence Judd Award in London, and the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (3rd prize). Since then, he has established himself as a world-class soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and teacher. Kenner is recognized around the world as an exceptional interpreter of the music of Chopin, and has been singled out by leading reviewers for his Chopin performances and recordings. His recent interest in the piano works of Paderewski has also received worldwide acclaim. He has been engaged as a teacher since 1999, first at the Royal College of Music in London, and since 2015 at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music where he also is Artistic Director of the Frost Chopin Festival & Academy.
