Celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month – a time to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
As part of this recognition, the Louise & Arnold Kotler Art Gallery will showcase the artwork of local artists from the Coalition of Hispanic Artists (CHA). The exhibition “Diáspora/Diaspora” will feature works in photography, drawing, paint, sculptures, and poetry.
The opening art reception will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. The art reception will host the Coalition of Hispanic Artists first poetry contest, featuring unpublished works, written in Spanish, with a free theme. Meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.
