Live On Stage: Photography Exhibit

Featuring dancers, musicians, and other performers in concert

Live On Stage is the fourth major exhibition of Jim Lennon’s work from his ongoing 30-year project On Stage, dedicated to documenting dancers, musicians, actors, and other performing artists who reside in Tampa Bay. On Stage is a community project, not a commercial one. The photographs appear regularly in public exhibitions and print media, and are made available to the performers free of charge for their use.

The project began in the 1980s when Jim started photographing dancers and musicians based in Ybor City and quickly grew to include The Florida Orchestra, all the local university dance programs, jazz performances at the Palladium and HCC Ybor, the annual mixed abilities New Definition of Dance festivals, the Tampa Bay Toy Piano Festivals, the St. Petersburg Opera, the Franzini Family Circus, the Flying Wallendas, the Kuumba Dancers and Drummers, and many others.

Live On Stage is made possible in part thanks to grants from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.

FREE Admission, including the Opening Reception: Friday, June 7, 5-7:30 p.m.
