Join us for a special livestream of Music in the Museum.
While the Museum is closed, please join us online for a special live program of Music in the Museum, featuring a performance by John Barr, classical guitarist. Live concerts were the most popular daily entertainment at the Tampa Bay hotel, and Music in the Museum restores this authentic tradition. The program will include a varied selection from the Renaissance to Modern.
John Barr earned his Bachelor of Music in Performance, from Loyola University New Orleans, and his Master’s in Music Theory and Composition from Tulane University. After teaching at Loyola, Tulane and The New Orleans Institute of Music, he hosted “The Classical Guitar” weekly radio program on WWNO for seven years. John currently teaches guitar (classical, electric and acoustic) banjo, ukulele, violin, piano privately and the guitar, violin, band, and recorder classes at the Community Montessori School in Tampa.
Music in the Museum is part of the SunTrust Community Connection series. Graciously underwritten by the SunTrust Foundation.
