Saturday, August 26 is the second Tampa Bay Indian Music and Dance Festival 2017. Organized by the Shruti Foundation, this family-friendly festival celebrates the rich performing arts culture of India- through music and dance. World class artists performing on violin, sitar, sInging, tabla, mridangam, and harmonium will showcase their talents at the Hindu Temple of Florida, Tampa. There will be Indian food and vendors.
Headlining will be Bhakti a Bharathanatyam Group Production by Tara Priyadarshini Bikkasani and Rudram Dance Company. Other performers include: Ambi Subramaniam – Carnatic Violin, Indrajit Banerjee – Sitar, Nandkishor Muley – Santoor, Shankhachur Lahiri – Tabla, Radharaman Kirtane – Vocals, and Mahesh Krishnamurthy – Mridangam
