Ye Mystic Krewe of Ybor Chickens

The Bunker is excited to showcase the art of local Tampa Bay Artist, Lynn Rattray, at the popular Ybor City café, February 4-March 2, 2019. Come see the stars of the show … our very own Ybor Chickens! Opening Reception date to be announced soon.

Ye Mystic Krewe of Ybor Chickens features the chickens we all know and love, joyfully rendered in vibrate oils and acrylics. Enjoy the art and then step outside, and you might be lucky enough to see some of those very same chickens hunting and pecking their way through the streets of our beloved Ybor City. The chickens add much to the ambience of Historic Ybor City and are enjoyed by so many; they are the perfect “models” for this show.

Lynn, an award-winning artist, communicates her ‘joie de vie’through her art. She is an active member of the Ybor Chickens Society, getting up close and personal with the very same chickens that inspire her art when she volunteers to care for them and keep Centennial Park tidy for special events. Lynn’s chicken art was recently published in the Nov/Dec 2018 issue of Chickens Magazine, and you’ll be able to enjoy, and if you like, purchase, some of those same paintings at The Bunker. (You can see the art, as well as a feature on the chickens written by Kenny Coogan, by searching for a copy of the magazine on-line.) A portion of all sales will be donated to the Ybor Chickens Society, so come support our local street chickens!  Lynn (and the chickens) hope to see you there!
