Downtown Clearwater Short Film Contest: Open Call to Artists

Open call for short films (up to 60 seconds) of Downtown Clearwater
The Clearwater Downtown Development Board, in partnership with the Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency and the Clearwater Arts Alliance, is looking for short films shot in, around and about Downtown Clearwater. Submissions must be short films (up to 60 seconds) and should feature the unique sights, sounds and locations of Downtown Clearwater. Films featuring authentic, uncommon and inventive perspectives from diverse sources are preferred.
Entries will be judged by a panel of filmmakers, artists, community members and Downtown business owners. The highest scoring entries will be used in an upcoming social media marketing campaign focused on authentic stories and perspectives of Downtown Clearwater. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories: $2,000 First Place, $1,500 Second Place, and $750 Third Place.
Deadline 11:59 p.m. ET, Oct. 21, 2019 but we encourage you to send films sooner.
Oct. 1, 2019 – Release Call to Artists
Oct. 21, 2019 – All submissions must be received by the deadline of 11:59 p.m. ET
Nov. 1, 2019 – Announcements of the 10 highest-scoring submissions
Nov. 2, 2019 – Screening party and announcement of prize winners at Station Square Park

Late submissions will not be accepted. Participation does not guarantee prizes or awards.
Films longer than 60 seconds or those that do not fit the contest theme may be disqualified.
