Plans, promotes, and conducts recreational programs; teaches and/or oversees fine arts and/or theater classes for adults, children, seniors and/or the disabled; performs in a variety of theatrical programs and/or teaches a variety of fine art classes participants as necessary.
Develops and teaches classes in fine arts such as ceramics, metal smithing, drawing, painting, printmaking and digital arts.
Performs clerical work; prepares and submits reports; verifies purchase orders and requisitions; takes orders and purchases supplies for activities; checks in and puts supplies away; assists with inventory of supplies, receives monies from class participants and enters information into our tracking system; maintains records, logs, lists, and forms.
Inspects recreational/studio/workshop facilities and equipment to ensure safety; enforces proper safety practices, and occupational safety rules and regulations; oversees operation of assigned area in absence of higher level workers; ensures security of building.
Directs visitors at center/studio; answers phones and provides information concerning programs and use of centers.
Performs related work as required.
