Art Trysts Studio is the working art studio of award winning artists Lorraine Ulen, Lee Canalizo and Deirdre Rivera. Although they do not have regular business hours, studio visits can be arranged with any of the studio artists at a time that’s convenient for you. Several times each year, they host an Open Studio event on the first Friday of the month from 4:30 – 7:30 pm, where they exhibit new art. There is often an art demonstration and always good company & light refreshments. They offer ongoing weekly classes and host single and multi-day workshops throughout the year. Britt ford is a 29-year-old multi discipline self-taught artist from Hoboken, NJ who recently moved to Tampa, Fl. Britt owns a studio & gallery in Seminole Heights. Since 2015, Britt has been mastering her method of thermographic embossed artwork. Britt has created thousands of personalized unique treasures for clients. Britt has displayed her work at Britt ford pop up, the showcase and new works shows and continues to display her work in group shows today. In 2016, Britt was commissioned to paint her first large scale mural for a private client in Hoboken’s historical Neumann Leather Factory. Britt has gone on to paint vivid retro style murals for the city of Jersey City, located in McGinley square and journal square. Inspired by her surroundings, Britt wanted to incorporate what she loved, into larger spatial surroundings. Britt has obtained inspiration from fauna spotted on her travels and around town in Hoboken, NJ. at times walking through Hoboken, Britt’s creative art process is activated by 300 years of history and architecture. The exquisite historical preservation of the buildings facades and the timelessness of the beauty inspire the clean lines and elegance of her work. Britt’s relationship with the glue and embossing powder melting together brings her senses in line and provide tranquility and peace. The uncertainty of how the melting of two materials will result really encapsulates how unique the process is. Utilizing thermographic embossing like no other has done before, Britt is pioneering the next step through a new method. Britt’s art starts from her desire to show others what she has uncovered and finds truly beautiful and create an irreplaceable masterpiece.

Capitol Theatre

The City of Clearwater and Ruth Eckerd Hall have joined forces to renovate and revitalize the intimate Capitol Theatre located on downtown Clearwater’s beautiful Cleveland Street. Constructed and established in 1921, this classic structure, complete with a large mezzanine and furnishings reminiscent of a classic Hollywood theater, is one of the oldest operating theatres in the state of Florida. In 2009, the Clearwater City Council designated the Capitol Theatre a historical landmark. This is the first such designation by the city. Ruth Eckerd Hall is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

Exquisite Corpse Games LLC

Exquisite Corpse is a game-registered in the Library of Congress for almost 100 years. Throughout the years it has been played by many, never like this version before. Every year is an entirely new game, even when some of the participants have played before. We are all in constant change. Each year every piece created is a unique work of art that is part of the energetic flow. It is a unique blind collaboration and a very individualized experience, all at once. The game starts with the selection of the artists. Once the artist has accepted to play, they become part of a three-person (head, torso, legs) team and sworn to secrecy. One of the games main objectives is to bring the artists out of their comfort zone. Have them be inspired to create a work of “Thought Provoking Art “JUST FOR FUN. They become 1/3 of a work of art. A select group of highly experienced professionals within the arts is chosen as “The seekers”. Their job is to assist with the selection of the talent. All artist invited are VERY talented. That is what makes it so fun. They are all on the same frequency. The artist is given very little clues. They know what part of the corpse they are going to create, the medium they are creating in and that every artist invited is very talented. The artist role is to be inspired & motivated by the other incredible talent. Play the game and be as creative & inspired as possible. That is where Phase 2 starts. Each artist has 17 days to complete their work of art. The gamekeeper is the only person that knows who is paired with who. The pairing is done before the game is launched in a unique serendipity way. Once paired changes cannot be made. The pieces won’t fit otherwise. Maintaining Secrecy is the KEY!
