Most of our productions occur in the Shimberg Playhouse at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa, where we are the official theater company in residence. Jobsite has become a dominant regional presence through professionally produced daring and unique programming, by nurturing area talent through our Ensemble Program, and by an unwavering commitment to the energetic creative class that we’ve served since our first steps. One of our areas of emphasis is the creation of new work and exploration of texts often overlooked in the hustle to produce “what’s hot” coming out of New York. The 2018-19 season marks the twentieth year we’ve dedicated an entire mainstage production to a non-published play (Edgar & Emily). Each season also hosts new or otherwise under-produced works by writers from around the world. Jobsite is committed to community engagement on multiple levels. We provide weekday matinees and in-class outreach opportunities to middle and high schools, and also regularly work with colleges across five counties. We regularly partner with community organizations and host a series of public forums to bring people together in dialogue on a wide range of topics. Jobsite Theater is dedicated to the creation of socially and politically relevant theater and the pursuit of performing it to the broadest possible audience. Kat Skratch Burlesque

Kat Skratch Burlesque is an amateur Tampa Bay burlesque troupe comprised of five sexy, curvy, fabulous women, including Autumn Storm, Gypsy James, Luna Love, Moxy Ann Mayhem, and Roxy Embers. KSB was founded by Luna Love in early 2010 and has included other dedicated founding members such as Rosie Wilder, Kiki Kaboom, Ginger Slaps, Lotta Sparxx, and Sparkle Lee Star. The girls come in and out of the troupe as their lives allow, but all remain a part of this extraordinary sisterhood. KSB began as a fun and creative way for "the girls" to get together and express their inner diva. In fact, the original intention, was never to perform in front of an audience! But as their love for burlesque grew, the girls inevitably decided to put on their first show in December 2010. KSB only performs once or twice a year, but generally 100% of proceeds from the shows go directly to local charities.

LAB Theater Project BRINGING NEW WORKS TO LIFE LAB Theater Project is a non-profit 501(c)3 production company focused on producing new works in the Tampa Bay Community. Our belief in a “playwright first” focus is resolute and a core value of the company. We only produce works from emerging playwrights and develop, through education, new artists (Actors, Directors, Stage Managers, and Designers) for the continued growth of live theater artistry. Our History For over 35 years, Mary Jo’s Performing Arts Academy (MJPAA) has been a leader in the Tampa bay area specializing in Dance, Acting, Voice and Music education. Our distinctive combination of performing arts curricula and professional compassionate faculty provides students an edifying experience while developing friendships and a lifelong appreciation of the arts. Under the tutelage of Artistic Director Mary Jo Scanio, the Academy has grown to incorporate education in all areas of the performing arts and has emerged today as one of the finest training facilities in the southeast region. MJPAA was named one of the top 50 dance schools in the United States in 2004 by Dance Spirit Magazine. Since then, it has continued to remain on the honor roll of Outstanding Dance Schools from 2005 to the present. The Academy is the home of The Tampa Bay Triple Threat Theatre, The Universal Movement Performing Arts Company and the Classical Ballet of Tampa. Not Your Normal Entertainment is Brandon’s newest arts organization! We focus on three areas: 1) Community Theatre for adults; 2) Music lessons for all ages; 3) Music for hire for all events. Our 2019 Community Theatre season includes: “November”, a play by David Mamet; “A Necessary Conversation”, a play by Deb Kelley and Peter Nason; “Cabaret”, the musical; a secret show we aren’t announcing yet; “Now. Here. This.” a musical; and “Christmas by Candlelight” a chorus & orchestra concert! Our piano & voice teacher has his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music. He has performed on stage with Kenny Rogers, Demi Lovato, Andrea Bocelli, and more. Our musicians have played for weddings, corporate events, community events, and more. We have instrumentalists, Victorian carolers, singing telegrams, and a barbershop quartet!

Prodigy is an early prevention community program designed to improve the life chances of at-risk students grades first through 12th by providing a safe arena where they learn communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. These skills are taught through the visual and performing arts. The program is a collaboration between the University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc., (UACDC) and the Florida Department of Education.
