East Hillsborough Historical Society
The East Hillsborough Historical Society, Inc., formed in 1974 is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Plant City and Eastern Hillsborough County. Headquartered in the historic 1914 Plant City High School High School Community, a National Register of Historic Places site, the EHHS is the managing partner of this historic site, including its Pioneer Museums, Quintilla Geer Bruton Archives Center, a local and family history library, gallery spaces, photographic and train museums, along with rental spaces within the 1914 PCHSCC. The EHHS sponsors various fund raisers including an Annual Pioneer Heritage Day, Candlelight Tour of Homes in the Historic Districts, The Florida Opry, Old Timers Picnic and the Sunshine State Music Festival. The EHHS strives to live up to its motto: Preserving the Past for the Future.
