In response to COVID-19, we have become the fiscal sponsor for the “Auntie Sewing Squad,” a national grassroots network of over 800 artists and volunteers who are sewing masks for front-line workers and vulnerable communities. Our monthly “Veterans Community Open Mic” has gone online. We are organizing free online trainings, workshops and artist showcases with national partners, including Houston in Action, Theatre Communications Group (TCG), Alternate ROOTS, Consortium of Asian American Theatres and Artists (CAATA), and the newly-formed MENA Theatre Makers Alliance (MENATMA). We are also focusing our resources on commissioning the writing of new works, for future presentation. Please visit www.art2action.org/events for details.
