Yvette Galliher was born in Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, and always interested in art as a child. However, painting began later when someone was kind enough to give her a set of oils. Now, painting has become a way of life. Being Art Director of the high school newspaper helped her find ways to pursue art education. She attended the Rhode Island School of Design, St. Petersburg Junior College, and classes and workshops at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art. She has won many awards and commissions, including twelve paintings exhibited by the National Museum of Art in Tokyo, Japan. Her work has also been exhibited in invitational shows, galleries and private collections across the U.S. and abroad.
