The Ceramic Garden, Inc.

The Ceramic Garden, Where Art is Therapy, has been a pottery painting and art studio serving Tampa Bay through our storefront and in the community since 2002. We offer art services for groups of all ages, including schools, homeschools, daycares, scouts, corporations and organizations. Our unique hands-on clay programs; hand-building, sculpture, and pottery on the wheel are taught in several formats such as art camps, workshops, classes, team building, award/reward sessions. Other services like mosaic and small glass fusion, and/or drawing and painting, are also available for groups to experience and discover their creative muse.

Ceramics Field Trips for K-12 students

Program description

Our most popular piece for field trips is the 6×6 tile. It represents a blank canvas that engages children’s imagination and creativity. Before students start drawing and painting their projects, we give them an overview of the processes involved in order to educate them about ceramics art. Interesting facts include how each shuttle has more than 21,000 lightweight 6×6 tiles that are very effective at throwing off intense heat, very, very quickly. This is an art field trip combined with a little bit of science.
