Hailed by International Piano Magazine (2019) as “part of this summer’s top crop of international music festivals the Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival is held annually every July. Public concerts are at held in Tampa, St Petersburg, & Clearwater.
RPPF proudly celebrates its 7th season with 36 students from 17 countries and an illustrious faculty of 20 world-renowned artists. Nearly 200 pianists applied for the program. The festival, founded by Steinway Artist, Rebecca Penneys, as a tuition-free gift for aspiring collegiate pianists. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3), funded entirely by donations. RPPF is a gift to the Tampa Bay area. All are warmly invited to attend public events at USF and various other venues, and be transported by the magic of the legendary classical piano repertoire. Admission is free although $10 donations at the door are appreciated.
