Community Concert Band & Community Wind Sympho...

Presented by St. Petersburg College at Palladium Theater

St. Petersburg College Wind Ensembles present an evening of music highlighting the happening and opportunities within SPC’s Veterinary Technology Program.   Joël Vaïsse, principal trombonist of the Florida Orchestra, is featured as a guest soloist.  The concert takes place in downtown St. Petersburg at the Palladium Thursday, March 5. (253 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701).  Concert time starts at 7:00 p.m.

Music includes several animal-themed works such as Noisy Wheels of Joy by Eric Whitacre, Old Ben’s Farm by Andrew Boysen, Old Home Days of Charles Ives, Service Dogs by JC Sherman, Sheep Shearing Song of Percy Grainger, and Monkey Business of David Lovrien.

Joël Vaïsse, principal trombonist of the Florida Orchestra, is our special guest soloist.  He will premiere the North American performance of Jean-Philippe Vanbeselaere’s Septentrion.  Not to be missed!

Free in the gravel lot behind the theater, just east of the theater, and in the paved lot directly across from the theater’s main Fifth Avenue N. entrance, at the southeast corner of Third Street N. and Fifth Avenue N. Plentiful on-street parking is also available within walking distance by and near the theater.
