Coppertail Brewing Company, 2601 East 2nd Avenue, Ybor (across from Ikea) announces SPRING FLING art show and sale celebrating Mother’s Day, Friday, May 6, 4-10pm, Saturday, May 7, noon-10pm, FREE and open to the public!
The event will be held in Coppertail’s private Loft above the brewery. Patros can enjoy a varied collection of artists’ offerings while enjoying Coppertail’s great crafted brews accompanied by the Beastro Food Truck’s delicious menu offerings. The 15 participating artists are: Francine Bauer, original oils and encaustic paintings, Judy Bales, printmaker, David Beebe: art potographer, cards prints, watercolors by Patricia Beebe, Theresa Crout: “Voodoods” voodoo doll art, Lisa Gellens Tuan and Stephanie Harden: jewelry makers, Tim Gibbons: acrylic paintings, original pen and ink drawings, prints, collectible toys, comics and vinyl; Victoria Hawkins, intuitive art readings, Macy Higgins, acrylic paintings and prints, Matthew Johnson: original illustrated clothing, screen prints, and more; Colene Milligan, “Sweet Colene”, acrylic paintings, Lloyd Johnson: space age gun sculptures, Teri Navajo,: original paintings and prints, Gianna Pergamo: multi-media paintings and art obects; Hoolie Prytyka: original paintings, prints, apparel and gifts, Mary Sultenfuss: original paintings.
Locally renowned artist Tim Gibbons, of Funky AS A Monkey Art Studio, hosts and promotes local artists with Teri Navajo, of The Creative Life, throughout the local craft brewery community of the Tampa Bay area. Tim teaches art classes throughout the Tampa Bay area as well as curating the restaurant art galleries for several downtown Tampa restaurants. Of the SPRING FLING event Tim states, “We thought this would be a perfect event to share with artists and moms, in celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday May 8. We’ll be doing everything from intuitive art readings to sales of jewelry, art, original illustrated clothing, comics, collectible toys and vinyl sales to 22nd century space age gun sculptures, and as always, original edgy and fresh art. There’s something for moms of all ages!” Teri Navajo, of The Creative Life, is an abstract artist who recently was invited to participate as an emerging artist at the Gasparilla Art Festival. Teri also teaches artistically, spiritually intuitive guided painting workshops where she has “brought out the inner artist in students who had never picked up a paintbrush and created beautiful paintings” Teri is passionate about art and craft breweries and is currently the special events manager of Motorworks Brewery in Bradenton, FL. Teri states, “We have a wonderful group of artists who will be showing and offering their works for sale at Mothers’ Day friendly prices. As always, Coppertail is pet friendly for pet parents. We hope this will be a great treat to take your mom shopping for her special day at this one stop-local shop art event.”
