University of Tampa Scarfone/Hartley Gallery is a teaching gallery that exhibits art as an extension of the classroom in all media. The gallery provides an opportunity for University and the Tampa Bay Communities to meet contemporary national international and regional artists through exhibitions, gallery talks, and other events. We are also a venue for other University artistic performances and lectures, such as the English Department`s Writers Series, and for other non-profit arts fundraisers, such as Las Damas’ Sunday in the Arts.
Hidden inside the R. K. Bailey Art Studio building on North Boulevard, over the past 40 years our little gem of a gallery has hosted some of the greatest Contemporary Artists of all time, such as Miriam Shapiro, Audrey Flack, Judy Chicago, Sam Gilliam and Maxwell Taylor.
Free Parking is available on the First Floor of the Thomas Garage located across N. Boulevard from the Gallery.
There is no Admission fee for the Gallery and All events, unless otherwise noted, are Free to the Public.
All Programs are made possible in part by support of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, and the University of Tampa Friends of the Gallery.
